My name is Cassandra Merriman, and I am running for San Saba County Treasurer because I believe our county deserves strong financial leadership rooted in professionalism, transparency, and public trust.

I am a native Texan who is passionate about rural communities and ensuring local government remains accountable to the people it serves. I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Management, and my Master of Business Administration (MBA) through West Texas A&M University.

I have built my career in public service and government operations. Currently, I serve as the Administrative Clerk for the San Saba County Sheriff’s Office, where I support essential county functions including records management, compliance responsibilities, and detailed administrative processes that require accuracy, discretion, and consistency. Previously, I worked for the City of Georgetown where I helped oversee payroll and scheduling for more than 100 employees and supported process improvements in a state-recognized program.

I believe good financial stewardship means more than numbers on a page—it means building stable systems, supporting the county workforce, and ensuring taxpayers can trust the way public funds are handled. My goal is to help San Saba County remain a place where young adults can build careers and families, and where public service is respected and strengthened for the future.

Qualified Financial Leadership. Proven Public Service.
